ESILIO
(agli amori negati)
Rinchiuso in questa terra dolceamara,
giro intorno al perimetro
di quest’isola che mi rende prigioniero.
Ma dopo trecentosessanta gradi di affannosa
esplorazione,
mi convinco che la ricerca è vana,
perché Madre Terra è lontana.
L’acqua padrona mi soffoca,
affoga i sensi e i miei pensieri.
Esilio d’amore, il mio, a cui non mi arrendo.
Ti cerco ancora, tesoro mio…
Il vento mi spinge verso te,
ma intorno a me solo sabbia e mare!
Maledetto esilio, maledetta isola,
maledetto il nulla assoluto e sovrano
davanti a
questo mare!
Ma se è vero che la geografia ci rende distanti,
che l'acqua regna intorno al mio esistere,
nulla e nessuno potrà separare
la legge del cuore e la sua forza,
che va oltre ogni limite,
oltre ogni liquido,
oltre l’orizzonte e il suo niente.
EXILE
(the love denied)
Locked up in this land bittersweet,
I walk around the perimeter of
this island
that makes me a prisoner.
But after three hundred sixty
degrees of laborious exploration,
I am convinced that the search
is in vain
because Mother Earth is far
away.
Water mistress smothers me,
drowns my senses and my thoughts.
Here’s love exile, but I don’t give up.
I look for you again, my
darling ...
Wind pushes me to you,
but around me just sand and
sea!
Cursed exile, cursed island,
cursed absolute and sovereign
nothing
in front of this sea!
But if it is true that
geography makes us far away,
that water reigns around my existence,
nothing and no one can
separate the law of the heart and strength,
which goes beyond all bounds,
beyond any liquid,
beyond horizon and its
nothing.
